Getting Help

Mental Health Support Service
(via Teesside Mind)

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. We believe no one should have to face this alone.
We'll listen, give you support and advice, fight your corner and never judge you.
We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem in Teesside gets the help and respect they deserve.

Our
Story

We're a member of the national Mind network and work within the quality standards of Mind, but all our work is delivered right here in Teesside and is focused entirely on supporting the local community.

Since our inception, we've worked hard to develop what we do in response to local issues and the growing demand for our help.

Now, we work with over 27,000 people in Teesside every year to improve their mental health and wellbeing in lots of different ways.

Our Services

We work with children aged eight and above, but we can also work with younger children alongside a parent.

To access our support the child or young person must be aged 8-18 and living in Teesside.

Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

We can offer low intensity support for those children and young people that are experiencing low to moderate anxiety and low mood.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

We also provide high intensity support for those children and young people that are experiencing moderate to severe anxiety and low mood.

Parenting Intervention

Parenting can be stressful and it’s normal to struggle from time to time. We can support you if you’re finding family life tough and provide one to one support that works for your family and its needs.

How to access our services

You can complete the referral form HERE and one of our team will be in touch.

Alternatively, your GP or another support agency can refer you.

If you’ve got any questions about the service before making a referral then reach out to the team on 01642 257020.

It's our goal that everyone on Teesside has the knowledge and resources they need to enjoy good mental health and live full and happy lives.

We campaign locally to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of what good mental health looks like.
